I occasionally loose track of time. I’m not talking about the odd 10 minutes or so. I’m talking the odd week (or so). I spent ALL of last week thinking that Halloween was this Thursday and was prepping myself up for the end of October.
If you are wondering why on earth I would need to prep myself for the end of October the answer is easy: November weather is never nice. Not only is the weather damp, cool and windy, the month is a void of nothingness stuck between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thankfully I still have a week and a half left of October and I plan to enjoy every minute of it. Not to mention my plan to enjoy all the fall produce. Today’s WIAW features veggies and vitamins.
Where is breakfast? That is besides the point (although if you were curious it was a bowl of oatbran and the red cup has peanut flour sauce). The real focus are the vitamins I take on a regular basis. They include Omega 3s, Vitamin B complex, calcium, Vitamin D, and a multi-vitamin.
I have heard lots of mixed opinions about whether or not vitamins are worth the money. Some sources say they even may be harmful, while other sources back them up. I don’t really know who to believe, but based on my actions (ie: still taking vitamins) I am inclined to believe I lean towards the ‘they’re safe’ side.
But who really needs vitamins when I get as many veggies as I do? Take the above picture of my over-veggie- Paella. I will post a recipe for this eventually but it is essentially bomba rice, saffron, other seasoning, and lots of veggies: cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms. Okay, Okay I know. Mushrooms are a fungus.
Even veggies on my ‘pizza’, which is really a wrap all dressed up. I told you guys that halloween was this week right? My wrap is costumed as a pizza.
Even veggies in my bread! A savoury zucchini bread to be exact, a recipe that I will be posting shortly. I love when there are air pockets in my bread.
So with all the nutrients with these vegetables I am doubtful I need to waste my money on vitamins. I guess that’s the trick with marketing.
