Peek-a-boo!
I guess I have a wee bit of explaining to do, seeing as I disappeared from posting for over a month. Really the explaining though is going to be even less than ‘a-wee-bit’ seeing as it can all be explained in one word: rest.
Essentially life got really busy, hectic and overwhelming and I wanted to invest my time in something other than recipe posting.
During my hiatus I have not however gone without my fair share of delicious high protein personal chocolate cake.

There is nothing more convenient than a microwave single serving cake. One bowl, and no hot oven. |

High protein and full of healthy ingredients.

The chocolate is not too overpowering so you can detect the faint ear grey tea.

This has a very cake like texture as opposed to many other protein microwave cakes.

General Comments:
•I used a cereal bowl to mix and microwave this cake in. •The ‘icing’ you see is a combination of cocoa, greek yogurt and protein powder.

So what have I been doing with my time? More reading, knitting, miscellaneous crafts, some drawing, expanding my general knowledge (who knew that a woodpecker could peck 20 times a second!?), and enjoying my time doing non-food/fitness related things.
I can’t say I know for sure exactly what direction I am going to take my blog, or if it is even going to go in any direction at all. I know that I am not willing to spend ALL my free time writing and reading about food.
That said my short term plan is to post a recipe once a week, and I am hoping to be able to comment more on other blogs (I can’t say I ever stopped reading).

What do you do with your free time (other than blogging)?

Glad to see you back girl!
I’m glad you gave yourself a bit of a break. If blogging starts getting too time consuming and you’re not enjoying it, then it’s not worth it!
This cake looks awesome though. I love the flavour of Earl Grey! I had Early Grey ice cream at a restaurant last summer and it was amazing.
In my spare time I like to read, cook/bake, shop, and do things with friends.

Wow, tea in cake? I have seen many recipes with coffee used but never tea. Can you taste it at all? Does it enrich the chocolate flavor? Very cool! And sometimes you need a blogging break. Good to do what makes you happy.

This cake is impressive, I don’t know why but I still have yet to try making a microwave cake! Hope you’re having a great week

Oh my gosh, this looks delicious! Don’t you worry about the break, there are more important things than blogging all the time, I’ve had my fair share of posts on my site saying, ‘Wow, I haven’t posted in a whole MONTH!’ I’ve nearly always been having a great time instead!
