Now I remember one of the reasons why I love blogging so much: the support! Your sympathetic and encouraging comments on my last post were greatly appreciated.
Moving on, it’s time for a WIAW focusing on the conveniences and inconveniences of life.
Inconvenient: Forgetting how long to cook my oats and have them spill all over the microwave
Convenient: Having my second attempt at cooking oats turn out to be the perfect texture and consistency
Convenient: Disposable cups for rushed mornings
Inconvenient: A permanent impairment with remembering what that brown stuff on my salad is called: Tahini. For some reason I always want to call it talapia, and have to search my brain for the real word. I think it’s because they both start with ‘Ta’?
Convenient: I wish all malls, subways, and lecture halls had some of these:
While many bloggers have expressed their challenges with what to write when STARTING a post, I always stumble with what to write at the END. Goodbye? See you later? Audios Amigos? In a while crocodile? I just don’t know!
-*-*-*-*-*-
What are some inconveniences or conveniences you have had lately? Are there any words you chronically mix up? What is the strangest thing you have used a disposable cup for?

I like in a while crocodile haha. Those umbrella things are great! The first time I saw them was at a candy store in NYC, it was an exciting find for some reason
Ahhh overflowed oats are the absolute worst! A total day ruiner..I was lucky today and caught mine just in time!
Microwave mishaps are the worst! I hate it when my eggs explode in there hahaha
And that’s such a great idea to put your oats in a disposable cup, I never thought to use it as a mini bowl!
Those umbrella bags are awesome! If only I could remember to bring my umbrella with me in the first place…
I love the umbrella bag, awesome idea. I’m glad the oats turned out the second time. Great idea with the cup too!
i don’t really eat oatmeal that often – but i love how thick yours is. and LOVE the convenience of that to go cup. perfect ona busy morning.
How do you cook your oats? They have such a cool texture!
I don’t do it anymore, but as a kid I always used to mix up “bagel” and “waffle”. I have no idea why haha.
Inconveniences in my life today… having to go to night class tonight just to watch other peoples’ presentations, the fire alarm testing going on in my building right now while I’m trying to study, and realizing that my roommate is hoarding almost all of our knives in her dirty dish pile in her room.
Your oatmeal looks like bread and I’m in love with it! Please tell us how
I always struggle with ending a post too- I’m bad with goodbyes
Oh gosh I can’t get oatmeal right 99% of the time. I usually do the “boil hot water, add to oats, let sit” method because I usually explode them in the microwave!! Oats are amazing when you get them just right though, so I’m glad you nailed it on the next shot!
HAHA! You are adorable!!!!!!!!!! Tahini and tilapia!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t think of anything I get mixed up? However whenever I see yellow I say white and vice versa even though I know it’s not :s so I guess that’s the same? HA!
Hahaha I’m always concocting things in paper cups at work. Today it was yogurt, protein powder, and grapes. Odd… but delicious!
Overflowing oats are the worst!
ooh i hate when my oats decide to have a party all over the microwave. no fun. but then when you do finally eat it, it’s all worth it
Talapia haha
I only tried Tahini recently, but I totally love it now! I hate cleaning up microwave messes though. Perfect oatmeal is all about the texture and consistency.
yes, please tell us how you make your oats because they look amazing, i want mine like that with a thicker consistency but they always end up really runny and not great
