It’s party time, and guess what?! You’re all invited!
Breakfast:
Sometimes I just don’t feel like doing much food prep, usually if I’ve been really busy. So instead of preparing overnight oats, I decided just to make a quick breakfast in the morning.
Greek yogurt, fruit + drizzles peanut flour paste, and marble toast. Marble toast is just a really thick layer of cheese on the bottom (I use a full laughing cow triangle on each slice) and a thin layer of peanut butter on top.
Morning Snack:
I hate it when only the small apples are left in the fridge.
At least it was firm and crunchy, just the way apples should be. Speaking of crunchy, I love crunchy things. Some people like their almonds as almond butter, but more often then not I would rather chew my almonds.
Nothing against nut butter, I just prefer the crunching action!
Lunch:
One of the great things about packing a lunch for work is that you get to gamble on what you will be craving the next day [enter sarcasm].
It’s just a salad +italian dressing, cottage cheese, soy cereal and an apple. It’s not what I would have chosen if I were at home, but I get what I packed and I packed what I get.
I put cinnamon in the lunch baggie with the soy cereal then mixed it in my cottage cheese. I frequently eat my cottage cheese this way, it makes it more crunchy.
Afternoon Snack:
Snoopy likes dark chocolate too. But I didn’t share with him because it was one of my favorites: OrganicFair WestCoaster (TOASTED HAZELNUTS & WILD BLUEBERRIES)
Dinner:
Why I was craving soup during a huge heat wave is beyond me. But I was, so that’s exactly what I had.
I added my own veggies of course…
But didn’t make lots of soup broth because I felt like chewing rather then slurping
GoGo Quinoa instant soup, veggies, hemp hearts, greek yogurt ,salsa
Snack:
My snack was a kaleidoscope of colors.
Instead of adding the fruit to my smoothie I poured my smoothie over my fruit (apple, watermelon, blueberries, and strawberries). It was perfect because I felt like chewing!
By the way, if you haven’t already filled in the security polls and want to, you can head here.

Do you prefer crunchy or soft fruit? (I prefer crunchy like apples, that is actually the reason why you don’t see many banana’s around here)
What do you have for breakfast when you don’t have time to prepare oats?

ohhh I love your kaleidoscope of colors, so deliciously vibrant!
I’m actually all about eating raw oats mixed with sunwarrior, nut butter, almond milk and fruit. That way you get the wholesome oat goodness without the prep time. I highly recommend giving it a try!
that’s funny you said that about almonds…I LOVE almonds but ehh almond butter…not so much, really.
Crunchy fruit has my vote! I love that you poured your smoothie over the fruit…looks so yummy.
AHHHH!!!! That kaleidescope fruit snak is unbelievably tasty looking
I like crunchy fruit the most–apples, really crisp blackberries, watermelon mmmm all so good!
When I can’t cook oats, I love having huge ol’ smoothies, greek yogurt messes with cereal and fruit, or some kind of cottage cheese bonanaza
Crunchy fo sure! most fruit should be crunchy in mah opinion! When I dont cook oats I just whip up a pb sammie or my egg in a hole
I honestly have no idea what I’d have for breakfast if I didn’t have oats… I’ve never run into that problem since I wake up so darn early
But I’d probably have some sort of yogurt mess with fruit, cereal, and almond butter. As for fruit, most of the ones I love are soft. Bananas, melons, berries, mango, cherries, peaches… although I guess some of those could go either way. I like crunchy veggies, though
And crunchy snacks like almonds, chips, pretzels, etc.
I prefer soft fruit- but crunchy ‘errything else! I usually eat cereal with kefir/greek yogurt/berries for breakfast- it’s fast, delicious, and healthy
I like crunchy things over chewy and savory over sweet, I guess that’s why I’m a veggie person more than a fruit one. But I agree apples should be crunchy. I’d take a granny smith over a banana any day.
When it comes to apples i like them softer, because i like the really sweet juicyness that comes along with it! I love all of your plates of fruits…yummmy. I’m all about the crunch when it comes to most things! I need something crunchy on my salads, i hate soggy cereal, and i like to add granola or something to my yogurt to give it texture. CRUNCH!
I love crunchy foods too. Pink ladies are defintly my favourite apple and I like bananas raw almost green so they have some bite too them. Well I tend to just get up earlier or if I am megga rushed or out and about its some fruit with a soya latte I prefer not to have a cereal bar as they don’t tend to fill me up.
I love your colorful dessert! And of course the cottage cheese
nothing like a nice crunch added to your cottage cheese that’s for sure!
Apples and pears definitely need to be crunchy. I do not like a smushy apple or pear.
I usually do something quick like cereal and yogurt anyways so I never have to worry about preparing a lengthy breakfast. Quick but delicious breakfasts are my favorite
I love how so many of your eats are “typically” not chewed, but you made them that way anyways
It’s definitely important to go with what your body wants! If you want to chew, you go girl! You’ll be much more satisfied that way!
I love all fruit quite honestly- except cantaloupe. I’ve just never had a good one!
And, well, I always make my oats the night before. Always. I don’t think I’ve ever gone a day without them! Though if I had to I’d probably have an english muffin with plenty of nut butter, a banana, and some soy yogurt perhaps! All delicious.
Woww lovin’ your eats girly! And cottage cheese and cereal is always a winner
yum!
As for me, I actually don’t tend to have oats for breakfast anyway (shocking, I know!) I always have cereal over protein smoothie with fruit all mixed up
Hmm with fruit I probably say I prefer soft fruit – persimmons, melon, berries, mango…and when I have an apple I choose a gala which aren’t as crunchy as most apples!
I like crunch and soft fruits….except for bananas, I am not a banana fan….
Your snack looks pretty and yummy.
Deff crunchy fruit, but im open to all types =] I love cereal/yogurt bowls!
What a beautiful day of eats! Especially your kaleidoscope smoothie fruit bowl. It’s gorgeous! I like crunchy AND soft fruit. It really just depends on what I’m in the mood for. I don’t typically have oats for breakfast on a regular basis. I really like to switch it up. Sometimes I’ll have a smoothie, or cereal, or eggs, or pancakes! Breakfast is my favorite meal so I totally like to have variety
I definitely prefer my fruit crunchy and usually for breakfast I’ll eat food I don’t have to prepare for much, like dinner leftovers (today I had a leftover zucchini burger from yesterday night), sandwiches, cereal, toast, or a bagel.
Ooh I love the idea of your marble toast!! I will definitely have to try that. I definitely prefer crunchy fruit. I like my apples, pears, and peaches crunchy! i still love bananas and strawberries and melons though.. just not in the same way.
I’m more of a soft fruit girl…berries, mango, melon, bananas. I love the idea of marble toast…laughing cow cheese is the best!
I’m really impressed with your creative culinary creations! The huge fruit plate with peanut flour drizzle looks amazing, as does the marble toast. I also think it’s really interesting that you poured your smoothie ON TOP of your fruit! I have so many new ideas
that is such a neat idea to put your smoothie on TOP of the fruit. I’ll have to remember that! And oh my, I love the laughing cow + pb spread. I bet that was amazing!!
I’m not sure if I have a preference for crunchy/soft fruits, but apples are my favorite fruit, so maybe crunch!
Crunchy fruit ALL THE WAY!! I love crisp apples, too
I love this, because SO MANY people think i’m so strange for liking to eat certain foods just for texture. I need a mix of crunchy and chewy, but most often I go for crunchy.
your eats are delicious!! i have two bananas with pb!! it fills me up and is SO MUCH easier to make!!!
You’re breakfast looks beautifully colorful. I like that idea of cheese and peanut butter. I love both so why have I never thought of that combo :O!? I am so out of it.
I want your snoopy notebook…when i can’t make oats i rely on yogurt, puffins, blueberries and an apple–easy!
