Thank you so much for the comments on yesterdays post, I appreciated them so much and they made me feel a lot more confident in listening to my body even when my family’s eating habits are frustrating.
Last night when packing my lunch for today, I sought out to recreate a creation from the recent past. And by ‘recent’ past I mean two days ago. Yes, my meals do get really repetitive.

A jar? Yes, a jar full of yuminess.
Cranberries? Of course, but that’s not all.
Hemp seeds? Yes, but the best part was the stuff underneath those seeds.
Each spoonful was like eating a rich velvety flavor burst.
A duck? No, a Post-it Note with a duck on it. I am obsessed with Post-it notes, I have them in all sorts of colors, and shapes, but back to that jar I was talking about.
Perhaps by now you may actually be wondering what this mushy peachy colored fluff is that I am clearly very found of.
- 1/4 cup of greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup Yoplait Source Cherry Yogurt
- 1/3 cup canned pumpkin
- sweetener (I used 1 stevia packet), and unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup puffed kamut
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds

ohh man that does look and sound AMAZING!
pumpkin was what I forgot to buy this past weekend, it really is so good with oats mm mmm!
My meals are totally repetitive as well but hey if you find something you like that is healthy and satisfying, why not repeat it!
Hope you have a wonderful start to your week!
I am obsessed with nuts! I love cashews, almonds, walnuts and pecans best. You can throw nuts on anything for added texture and healthy fats, and I love that.
Hummus is the best. You are going to get addicted to it. I just ate some today with carrots and celery. Just wait until you find all the crazy flavours and combinations out there! So many to choose from. I had one with roasted pine nuts today and I also often buy one with red peppers in it. So so so good!
The only thing I can think of that I have tried recently is asparagus (yeah I know…kinda late in life, but never really wanted to try it). I fell in love with it and will definitely be adding it to my diet on a regular basis!
Yum! That lunch looks stupendous!
my favorite nut is either a walnut or sunflower seed mmmm so good!!
I missed yesterdays post (the horror!) but I went and quickly read it…wierdly I blogged about the same thing today (not having read your post). Foodies of the world unite…my family doesnt eat AT ALL. They will have a bite of a sandwhich and be “full” I was always the porker…and they even called me that but IM NOT FAT…just heavier then they are bunch of skinny minnies
Great minds think alike! I’m going to go over and read your post
Ahh I love when you can use the tub instead of a bowl! This looks pretty tasty.
My favorite nut is probably…. peanut (boring, I know) or almond. Pistachios are good, too. I love all nuts!
Tried hummus for the first time! You poor thing! You have a lot of time to make up. What flavor/brand was it? I’m always on the lookout to try a new kind on my endless search for the perfect hummus.
My favorite nut for snacking is pistachio. My favorite nut to use in recipes is pecans or macadamias. My favorite butter is peanut! Obviously each is almost an entirely different food or method of eating, so it entails different nuts.
I agree, I do have a lot of catching up to do. It was Summer Fresh (http://www.summerfresh.com/dipsHummusMinis.php) original hummus. I can’t wait to try different flavored hummus! My favorite butter is peanut too, your right different method=different favorite
I love macadamia nuts! It’s funny how much you just accept what your parents eat, and then you realize there’s this whole other world of eating. For me, it was definitely ethnic food. I now love Thai, Indian, and Burmese!
This sounds AMAZING, I’m so jealous. My favourite nut is probably cashew – oh, or pistachio. Who am I kidding, I love them all…
